Chloë Murdock, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
I developed a love for cycling early on, growing up riding road and mountain bikes with my dad in upstate New York. I attended Penn State University, receiving my B.S. in kinesiology with a research focus in biomechanics while competing for the varsity cross country and track and field teams, and then continued on to earn my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Boston University.
My clinical expertise treating endurance athletes with orthopedic and pelvic floor dysfunction gives me a unique perspective as a bike fitter, and allows me to comprehensively assess and fit cyclists to their optimal position. Identifying the underlying drivers of a cyclist’s movement pattern allows me to make the necessary bike fit adjustments, while concurrently addressing the athlete’s “weak links” off the bike, optimizing performance and minimizing injury risk. I have experience working with triathletes, road and gravel cyclists, and mountain bikers of all ages and ability levels.
I am a Slowtwitch and BikeFit certified bike fitter, as well as a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and USATF level 1 and RRCA certified running coach. My advanced clinical training includes movement assessment, trigger point dry needling, Redcord Neurac, Pilates, and various manual therapy approaches. More specifically, my special interests include optimizing pelvic mechanics and foot/pedal interface on the bike. Outside of my work as a PT and bike fitter, I educate physical therapists and coaches on treatment considerations for triathletes and cyclists and the role of bike fitting in rehab, and have been an instructor for BikeFit. I have worked in Boston, MA, Portland, OR, and most recently at Podium Multisport in Atlanta, GA in a GURU bike fit studio prior to moving to Zurich, Switzerland in 2020.
